I am Falling

It is finally starting to feel like Fall in Oklahoma. The weather is getting chillier and chillier in the morning and evenings. I am outside watching Cassidy play with one of the little neighborhood girls, Molly, age 4. She knows everything and isn't afraid to tell you about it. Cassidy is getting a run for her money.

Carly has a flat tire on her bike so she has been homebound for a week. Good thing the phone lines work! She and her friend, Madison, have been keeping the lines hot. She went to Meet You at the Pole yesterday at 7am. She got up so good and mom actually got her to school on time. I was a little nervous though as a storm was brewing complete with thunder and lightening. Later she went to a Youth Rally in Muskogee and had a blast

Halloween should be fun in this neighborhood. I remember when we lived here as a kid that it was packed! I am looking forward to it. We usually don't participate in "Halloweeny" type stuff but it might be OK to pass out some candy. We lived in Muskogee for 10 years and had only 2 trick or treaters. I expect hundreds here. It is a nice and safe neighborhood and the town knows it. :o) Gotta stock up on some candy now!

I am craving Thai food so bad right now. I have been for a couple of weeks. Seems we usually have some excuse to be in Tulsa every month or two so we can get a fix. Maybe we just need a date night for Mom and Dad. :o)

I am also wanting to make some caramel apples. Real caramel apples complete with the stick. I haven't done it since Middle School!

If you need a good laugh, go on over to Joe's place and check out his Western Love Story. He had me cryin' the first time I read it.

How is the weather in your neck of the woods?? This is my favorite time of year......

You really need to get Uncle Joe out more often. He has to much blog time on his hands. Don't think I can keep up with him. lol..
A date night trip to Tulsa is just what the doctor ordered.. I enjoy you and your families blogs..A good carmel apple sounds great.. Take Joe to the Tulsa State Fair and get him some fair food. Maybe he can get some hay for his shetland at the fairgrounds. lol

  5. Hey!
Fall is here too! YAY! I love fall.. Today it's been perfect - sun is shining, it's a bit chilly, but the sun warms still. Trees are loosing their leaves, and I really love the rustling sound around my feet when walking these days..
Tonight I'm going out with some friends for the first time in AGES - I am soooo ready to PARTY!!
Wine, Brownies, dancing -does that sound like a cool party or what??
    :)

  6. It's turning chilly here in Chicago, but they're promising upper 70's on Sunday. We can have beautiful weather until Thanksgiving, some years. The leaves are just starting to turn. I've got my garden all pulled up except for 3 pepper plants. I don't look forward to winter, but the other 3 seasons are nice.
Candy, caramel apples, Thai food... sounds like you are hungry, and you're making me hungry, too.

  7. Well, my weather is a lot like yours. Except maybe a little drier. I guess that's why they call your side of the state "Green Country" and mine's well, brown I guess.

I might be heading up to Tulsa mid-October. I'll give you a call if I do. Maybe we could meet and ahve lunch. I'm not promising I'll try Thai food, but I might be in a good mood. We'll see.

I hope you all have fun Trick-or-Treating! I loved it growing up. Peanut hasn't decided what she wants to be. Hopefully it'll be something we can create at home dirt cheap like last year!

  8. Party at Nerdines place..!!

    Watch out for those brownies...
    Might be "wacky"...

Guitarman, UJ has not been invited to the fair with AJ...
I might hold them back from their FUN....

Seeker, I've got one cherry tomato plant that I transplanted from the old house that has 50+ tomatoes just waiting for a few days of sunshine.....

  9. Fall weather is gorgeous. I love it! It is so nice when the weather cools some (not too much) and the humidity goes away. Ahhhhh, so nice.

Last year here in AR, the leaves were so pretty. I am not used to living where there is a real fall season. CA does not have very distinct seasons like other states. I am looking forward to another lovely autumn.
Caramel apples sound so yummy! I'll take one with nuts, please. Thanks.
