I may or may not have been tagged by Susiebadoozie:

1. Three things that scare me: creepy men, tornadoes, public speaking (i have made progress I dont' vomit at the thought of it!)

2. Three people that make me laugh: Laurie Notaro, Will Ferrell, Steve Martin (what? oh you mean real people? ok then, Carly, Ted and Joe)

5. Three things I'm doing right now: sitting, typing, breathing

6. Three things I want to do before I die: see the ocean, (i was actually thinking of this today, and for the life of me can't think of the one thing that i thought of!!) see a foreign country, see my children have a happy life

7. Three things I can do: tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue, make some great lasagna, play the flute

8. Three ways to describe my personality: sweet, happy, dingy (it's true, and i just laugh at myself)

9. Three things I can't do: back a trailer, eat SPAM, make pie crust

10. Three things I think you should listen to: Michael Buble', Jazz music, Adrian Rogers' preaching (Love Worth Finding of Memphis or

11. Three things you should never listen to: people who tell you not to try, people never have anything nice to say, Mar!lyn Man$on.

15. Three shows I watched as a kid: Gilligan's Island, Batman, The Little Rascals

So there you have it. Useless information about me. Oh great. Joe just told me that I just sold a "How to Speak French" CD in our garage sale. (which incidentally went well....we got rid of a lot of treasures and made a little bit of money) SSSShhhhhhh don't tell, but I also sold his SPAM cookbook in the sale too. *snicker*

Have a great Labor Day Y'all! We will be at the grandparent's having a cook out. No one makes Potatoe Salad like Nana! Question: Do you like cold or warm potatoe salad? We eat ours as soon as Mom boils/mashes the taters so it is still warm. That is the way we grew up eating it, so I never knew any different. Mom does make certain OutLaws in our family some cold tater salad though. I think she might like them a little bit. ;o)

  1. Mmmmm potato salad. I like it best when it's chilled, but not too cold. (I don't like extremely cold foods of any kind.) But are you talking about German potato salad, which is meant to be eaten warm? German potato salad wouldn't taste as good if it were chilled, and should be eaten warm. Now, I've eaten warm potato salad because I forgot to make it ahead of time, so I know it tastes alright, and I'm not knocking it at all. If it's edible, eat it! But, on the other hand, if the reason your potato salad is warm is because it's been sitting on the picnic table in 90 degree heat for several hours, I wouldn't recommend it. And that's my short answer. Any questions?

  2. Every little bit of knowledge is a good thing to pass on! Hubby prefers the potato salad cold. Me I love it warm which is how my Mom always served it! Hope you have a great Monday holiday!

  3. Nana makes it with russet potatoes, boiled and mashed with a bit-o-butter and milk. Then add Miracle Whip and mustard to taste, pickle relish (sweet or sour is your choice), onions and boiled eggs, salt and pepper. I cannot think of anything else that I would even add. (I guess if you like celery *yuck* you could add that)

She has always said her family ate it warm and never had it cold because there were 11 children in her family and no one ever let food have a chance to get cold! There were never left overs and cold tater salad was never heard of! haha (Same thing with warm pie and warm (home made) banana pudding)

  4. I luuuuuuuv potato salad. Of course, what do I know? I also like Spam...

  5. You haven't seen the ocean?? Say it isn't so!!!

I would love to sample your lasagne. No, not just a sample, a VERY large serving. Right now would be nice.

My mom's potato salad is the BEST! I guess we need to have a potato salad taste-off to decide. When hers is just made, it is warm and wonderful, but it is just as tasty when it is cold.

Have a wonderful Labor Day holiday!!

I stopped by Joe's because he said at my blog that he had a new post up. This was a few days ago, though, and now his blog is on hiatus. Oh well, I missed out on his post.

  6. COLD no matter what the nationality.

  7. I forgot to ask: Sew like I sew? Cake decorate like I cake decorate? You don't need lessons for that!

  8. i like cold tater salad

i can vouch for her cherry stem thing, witnessed it at applebys. i can't do any of the things she can do, and

whoa, i can do all the stuff you can't do. back a trailer, make pie crust and eat spam. does that mean we're complete opposites?

  9. Susie: thanks for vouching for me! No, we are not opposites, just compliment each other. ;o) When we go on our cross country tour in a travel trailer you do the backing ok?

ANP: i want to really something my children can either wear or keep on their beds and not be ashamed of. :o) I want to be able to make a pretty little flower on a cake. (So the answer is yes and no!)haha

JD: yes it is true no oceanic view for AJ yet. i plan on seeing it soon though (soon as in the next two years) A tater salad cook off?? You're on!!

Saur: You are so SPAMMY! But i like you anyway. ;o)

Fruit: you are my kinda gal!

  10. I LOVE potato salad, especially when I make it, especially when it's still warm.... yummmy...
