We Must We Must We Must Increase Our

Posts!!

I cannot believe how many comments I got on a one word post. How funny is that?

Cassidy asked me recently if she could have some "bump beds". You know, with one on top and one on bottom? (uh oh. this could be bad)

Carly asked me not to go to her school in my flannel pants last week. She was embarrassed of me! I thought I was a cool mom! I thought she was proud to be seen with me! It was a sad day to realize that she thinks about me the same things I thought about my mom. I didn't appreciate her.....really appreciate her til I was an adult. We are great friends now (now that she can't boss me around!haha )

I am afraid our home computer is going down.....Joe just called and said he can't get it to come up. I think he might cry if it crashes. I haven't seen him cry.

Where is a geek when you need one? Geek Man!! I need you!! Mayday Mayday!!

  1. My son has "bump beds" and he is so happy with them. He likes sleeping on the top bed the best - he feels it keeps him away from the "monsters".

I dread the day my kids are embarrassed to be seen with me.

  3. We have bump beds too. Double on the bottom - twin on the top.

I have a couple of years before I turn into the invisible woman I think.

  5. False alarm on the computer thing....one of the cords came unplugged. CarlyJo to the rescue! She crawled under the desk and fixed it. Yay!

  7. Anne: It will be a sad day for you. I hope you don't cry. Yay you were first!! It is fun to be first....especially when you have time to read the post AND be first!

Granny: that is the bed I want! I wonder if they could do it in King on bottom and full on top? Hmmm sounds like a good project for my dad. He is the builder of all things wood.

Susie: Does he let you kiss him in the car before he gets out for school? You should have a code word for "I love you" something really strange like: zeitgeitzheimer or ziggenfuss. (the latter is a real word...the real last name of a family friend!)

  8. Jenn: I don't know because I am not cool.

Hey you cool moms: what are you wearing these days?

  9. Hey, are you trying to say something to me without really saying it?

  10. anne, were you a middle child?? ~giggles~

Aunt Josefina, I don't know how I rate on the coolness factor but I wear jeans. I am a geek at heart and would have fixed your puter!! (I do HTML by memory, see, that knocks me down on coolness)

We have 'bump beds' in each room. I despise making them and in the words of the amazingly articulate Erma Bombeck, "My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint."

  11. Jennybee - No, not a middle child - the oldest of three.

I really dislike making those "bump beds". Not sure which one is worse - the top or the bottom. Also, we have a twin tent on the top "bump" - try making THAT bed. Sometimes I just walk away.

  12. I think none of us really appreciate our parents till we've been there/done that. It's a shame, really.

  13. jenny bee: you changed! i love your lipstick! what flavor coffee are you drinking? i am hoping cassijo forgets about the bump beds. maybe she will if she gets a horse or something.

Anne: i am the oldest of three too. are bossy like me? and if the top bump is covered up with a tent, why make it anyway??

Saur: that is exactly when i started to appreciate my mother. she was a stay at home mother for all three of us. i don't know how she kept her sanity with three of us but she did and we all turned out ok....we are decent human beings.

  14. You know they have bump beds in Army barracks during training... last weekend when we went for Mark's graduation he said one of the best things about graduating is that he won't have to look at his bunk mate's big hairy foot step on the edge of his lower bunk twice a day.

  15. what are the cool moms wearing? we should poll them. haha.

well. i for one, wear pj pants a lot. my pj pants are real cool. they are like, real cool. i'm sure of it. although no one has exactly told me that? i am sure.

i also wear stretchy pants, and i tuck in my shirt, and pull the pants all the way up under my boobs. i find this a real popular look to pick up dylan with. i get a lot of stares of admiration.

  16. Ummmm Tweedle Dee, that is not a good look for you.

Seeker: i would hate to see a big ole hairy foot too

  17. You need a Computer Super Hero.
    Burn those flannel pants.
You must not be an embarrassment to your daughter. Of course, she can be an embarrassment to you, but not vice versa.

  18. They are so comfy I can't burn them, but I won't wear them to school any more okay?

  19. auntie jum: how do you know its not a good look? let me send a picture, and we'll let our audience be the judge. we will have a "stupidest picture of yourself' contest. and what will your entry be? and dont say those pj pants. i think they are cool. besides that all the junior highers wear them to school!!

  20. beverly at work is my judge. if it looks bad she will say, "Those aren't the most flattering pants you own you know." Sometimes she is right and sometimes it hurts my feelings a little *sniff*

  23. Yes, I've had to learn "please" and "thank you" - it tends to dullen the pain of my bossed victim.

  24. I have even used the phrase, "I'll allow you to rephrase that." thanks to SnusieFlaboozie.
